The Elias Project

Hi out there!

This site is home of my musical alter ego: The Elias Project. It is a strictly non-profit, private project with the one and only purpose of presenting music of my own creation.

The name 'The Elias Project' alludes to chapter 18 of the 1st Book of Kings where the Lord sent fire from the sky to consume Elijah's offering in answer to his prayers, a feat which the false priests of Baal couldn't match. I've always liked that scene: Fire from the sky... It came out of thin air but it made its presence felt with a vengeance! And that is what music does for me: When I listen to music, I not only hear the sounds but also feel it, sometimes with an intensity to match that proverbial fire from the sky.

As all songs are composed, played, recorded and mixed by me, all rights on them remain reserved by me but you may of course download my songs for your own private purposes as mp3 (320 kbps). If your interest goes beyond that please contact me by e-mail. Since I'm not the GEMA, I'm sure we can work out an arrangement to mutual satisfaction...

On a few occasions I used works of other musicians as basis for my own composition. For all of those songs the original creator(s) permitted me to present my own version on this site – and of course I made sure everybody can see where the original ideas came from. I absolutely recommend checking out the original songs, too. Could be interesting for you to see for your own what I did with them...
